Two art concepts for a piece on the climate crisis for online publication and newspaper Noema magazine. Two illustrations convey mass flooding and the impact this has on humans. Other elements include buildings, rain, trees and hazy skies.

A climate focussed editorial collage artwork for Noema Magazine, supporting the article 'Climate Resilience Means Retreat' by Brian Stone Jr.

After sourcing various papers, images and textures, I depicted a visual of mass flooding using only greyscale, blue, turquoise and a pop of citrus yellow. The chosen artwork, whilst built using flat digital papers, has a real sense of space and depth and conveys the bleak devastation caused by such destructive floods.

I've also included an alternative working concept here that was part of my journey in landing just the right composition and final execution for this commission. Thanks Noema for having me work on this.
