I've lived in Cornwall in the south-west of England for four years now. Its dramatic coastline, wild countryside and ever-changing weather have become a constant source of inspiration, naturally finding their way into my personal collage work.

Over this time, I've built a growing collection of Cornwall-inspired illustrations and animations, exploring the county's unique sense of place through colour, texture and movement. Although each piece takes a slightly different approach, they all share the same playful, tactile visual language that continues to shape my wider creative practice.

The animations feature anonymous cut-out figures brought to life by photographing real-life poses frame by frame, before layering handmade textures over the top in Photoshop. Elsewhere, I've experimented with hand-drawn Procreate elements and 3D animation techniques in After Effects to introduce even more movement and personality.

These are some of my earlier collage experiments, with a tighter colour palette and subtler textures than my recent work. Looking back, I still love the charm and simplicity of the collection, and it's a lovely reminder of how much my visual language has evolved over time.
