The article, "Education That Delivers" by Richard Byrne, discussed a remote engineering course that delivers a box of buildable circuit-board components to each student. Themes of electrical building and hands-on learning came to mind during the sketching concept phase, paving the way towards two bold graphic collage artworks layered with rich colours and textures.

I've included the concept sketches here which are deliberately created in monochrome to test contrast, hierarchy and whether the concepts are reading clearly. If an idea feels strong in this simplest form, it’s usually a good sign that it will become even stronger once I begin layering in the digital papers, textures and colour.
